Reorganization in CMP

For several years CMP has experienced strong growth. However, in the past year the market has changed, and there are different reasons for this. Among other things, that the major focus in the financial sector on implementing MiFID II & MiFIR, has been replaced by other and smaller types of assignments. This has also meant that the market for consulting services is undergoing a transformation to shorter and more agile projects. We have therefore found it necessary to adapt to the new conditions.

The 20th of March 2019

CMP has appointed Lotte Pia Mollerup as managing partner. The appointment is a result of Thomas Skou’s wish to seek new opportunities outside of CMP after six years with the company. Thomas has during his time in CMP contributed tremendously to its success.

Some 6 years ago, we at Capital Market Partners (CMP) toured the country visiting smaller and medium sized banks to suggest looking at the possibility of outsourcing (parts of) their Back-Office operations, in particular the settlement and custody of non-Danish securities. To put it nicely, our success was limited. We struggled to understand why these institutions wanted to maintain operations which – on a cost-per-transaction basis – seemed expensive. We never came up with a better answer than the idea that it was part of the DNA of these institutions to have such a department.
