The financial-services advisory firm CMP is appointing Lene Hjortshøj as a new partner and opening an office in Aarhus to strengthen its capital-markets and energy-trading capabilities across the Nordic region.
Copenhagen / Aarhus
CMP is expanding its partner group and physical presence. The company has appointed Lene Hjortshøj as a partner. She brings more than 35 years of experience in capital markets and energy trading and assumes the role on 1 June 2026, coinciding with the opening of CMP’s Aarhus office.
Lene’s appointment, the Aarhus office and the recent Oslo office represent further steps in CMP’s regional expansion. CMP advises banks, asset managers and pension companies on areas ranging from regulatory reporting to M&A services. Lene strengthens the firm’s capabilities in business development, risk management and complex technology infrastructure.
The Aarhus office is intended to bring CMP closer to clients in Jutland and support work with regional financial-services firms.
“Our clients increasingly demand specialized, top-tier expertise to navigate today’s complex market conditions. Having Lene on board significantly strengthens our capacity to deliver just that. Her core strengths within Strategy & Business Development, Risk Management & Compliance, and Technology & System Architecture make her a perfect match for CMP and, most importantly, for the financial institutions we support. Furthermore, establishing our third location in Aarhus – hot on the heels of our new Oslo office – allows us to be closer to key clients and tap into vibrant regional markets,” says Kenneth Brandborg, Managing Partner at CMP.
Lene Hjortshøj brings operational and strategic experience. Most recently, she built the Nordic consulting team at Fenixys, serving banks and energy-trading firms in Denmark and Norway.
Her background covers CMP’s core business areas, including business development, risk management and technology infrastructure.
“CMP was a natural choice for me. We operate within the same professional domain and share a passion for deep technical expertise combined with strong execution power. But most importantly, we share the same core values: high commercial ambitions, the courage to invest in the right opportunities, and an uncompromising focus on creating real, tangible value for both clients and employees,” says Lene Hjortshøj.
With this leadership change and offices in Denmark and Norway, CMP advises Nordic capital-market participants and energy companies on regulatory and technological change.
