Professor at Copenhagen University / Head of Research, Deon Digital AG
Fritz is professor of programming languages and systems at the Department of Computer Science at Copenhagen University, as well as research group leader of decentralized systems and of functional high-performance systems. Furthermore, Fritz is the Head of Research at Deon Digital AG, a Swiss-Danish startup developing secure and scalable digital contract technology for both decentralized (blockchain, distributed ledger) and centralized systems.
Fritz’s research contributions and interests are in semantic, logical and algorithmic aspects of programming languages. Fritz has written and published several papers, where he has been nominated and awarded for several of his publications.
Throughout the years Fritz has and is still serving different Steering Committees, e.g., Steering Committee Chair of the Danish Innovation Network for Finance IT (’14-’18), Advisory boards for different startups and Blockchain Europe, as well as board member of Deon Digital Denmark.
Fritz holds an MSc as well as a PhD in Computer Science from Rutgers University.
